Meet Danielle
Danielle Thomas is a 1,600-hour AmSAT-certified Alexander Technique teacher with a passion for helping people move and live with greater ease. She has worked with award-winning performing artists, world-class athletes, and individuals from all walks of life.
In addition to maintaining a thriving private practice, Danielle teaches group classes and workshops through her voice and Alexander Technique studio in the Lamorinda area. She is currently the Head of the Alexander Technique program at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and serves as an adjunct professor of Movement at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Danielle was first introduced to the Technique while earning her B.F.A. from Boston University's College of Fine Arts, where she received four years of training from internationally renowned teacher Betsy Polatin, author of The Actor’s Secret. She later completed her formal certification at the Alexander Educational Center in the Bay Area, where she trained under master teachers Giora Pinkas, Robert Britton, and John Barron.
Outside of her teaching, Danielle enjoys yoga, hiking, traveling, cooking, and spending quality time with her husband.
